This article proposes the exploration of a cluster of imagetic meanings that link the images of the vampire and of the barbarian, from the 17th century onwards, with the concepts of impiety and indignity and the image of the demon Belial, on the one hand, and the image of the same demon with the concept of anomie, taking into account the tension existing between the nobility and the bourgeois class at the dawn of modernity, on the other hand, as well as the projection of these conflicts in the Weimar Republic, seeking to reveal the tensions of the political project of a global humanity, contrasting with a longing for the community typical of pre-modern anthropology, through these images.
Keywords: Schmittian theory images. Katech?n. Leviathan. Nosferatu. Dracula.
