In the context of public policies, intersectorality involves cooperation between different government agencies, civil society organizations, and other actors in order to promote an integrated approach to problem-solving in the areas of health, education, and social assistance. The objective of the study was to investigate the factors that interfere in the coordination of intersectoral work between the Departments of Education, Health, and Social Assistance of the municipalities of the Northern Plateau of Santa Catarina in the implementation of public policies. The research is characterized as bibliographic, documentary, field, descriptive, and qualitative-quantitative. Thirteen municipalities were surveyed. The population was represented by 75 managers and executors of social policies in health, education, and social assistance in the Northern Plateau of Santa Catarina.
