Abstract

Situated at the crossroads of studies regarding violence against women and the school curriculum, this dissertation research in progress is linked to the The Master's Degree in Curriculum and Management of the Basic School (PPEB) of the Federal University of Pará and it seeks to problematize “How the theses and dissertations, published in the Bank of Theses and Dissertations of the Commission for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), address the theme of domestic violence against women in the curriculum school of Basic Education?”. The general objective is to analyze how the theses and dissertations have sought to incorporate the debate on domestic violence against women in the curriculum of basic schools, in the 2012 - 2022 period. domestic violence and its inclusion in the school curriculum; 2) know the strategies presented in theses and dissertations on the approach to violence against women in the school space; 3) analyze the ways of coping with domestic violence pointed out in the analyzed studies. We resorted to the state of knowledge as a research strategy because it enables mapping the existing scientific production and corroborates, from an epistemological perspective, with the deepening of investigative points/dimensions on the researched theme (MOROSONI, 2015). The perspective is to emphasize the challenges for the construction of a critical curriculum in the space of Basic Education schools that allows the development of actions to face violence against women in Brazilian society.
