Special education and regional development in the state of Goiás

Abstract

This work presents partial results of research on the relevance of inclusive education for regional development in the State of Goiás, emphasizing the importance of adequate teacher training to promote social inclusion through education. It brings reflections on access and public policies that impact student participation and learning, regardless of their differences and needs. It is clear that Inclusive Education plays a fundamental role in building a fair society. Analyzes the process of continuing teacher training from the perspective of serving students with deficiencies in the process of social interaction and learning difficulties. The research methodology used to produce these reflections is bibliographic and documentary with an exploratory nature. The partial results indicate that Inclusive Education not only provides fairer and more equitable educational opportunities, but also plays a fundamental role in regional development. By promoting social inclusion, strengthening cultural identity and valuing the potential of each student, Inclusive Education contributes to a more favorable environment for the economic development of the region.
