Education and regional development: analysis of the Municipal Education Plan of Bela Vista do Toldo, SC in 2021

Abstract

The text addresses the National Education Plan (PNE) and the State Education Plan (PEE), presented as legal instruments to direct educational improvement in different spheres. The objective was the analysis of the Municipal Education Plan of the municipality of Bela Vista do Toldo, SC, which has 17 goals and 207 strategies, aligned with the state and national plans. Bibliographic and documentary research was used, with the use of the deductive method and exploratory research techniques. The text addresses the monitoring of the municipal plan, highlighting the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on educational strategies in 2021. The relevance of education for regional development is also highlighted, emphasizing the interconnection between economy and education as a pillar of a skilled workforce for sustainable economic growth. Despite the challenges, the fulfillment of some educational goals in the municipality is highlighted. It is concluded that popular participation in the supervision and monitoring of education plans is essential to achieve desired improvements.
