The legal nature of the financial compensation to health professionals and dependents, arising from work inapacity due to contamination by COVID-19

This article aims to analyze the legal nature of financial compensation to health professionals and their dependents, resulting from incapacity to work as a result of contamination by COVID-19. Its objective is to present the changes with the new law, observing the existing laws in relation to Social Security Law. For the preparation of this article, bibliographical doctrines, legislation and technical notes were used, starting from the foundation of the social security system, with a focus on welfare and social security benefits for the analysis of the new Law nº 14.128/2021. It can be concluded that the new law related to health professionals, emerges with the utmost importance that professionals and their dependents can have access to benefits without the certain requirements of financial compensation, causing the legislation to have significant changes to the Law Social Security.
