Study of institutions in the legal and political experience of the greek cities, Rome and medieval cities

The article aims at the theoretical-practical disclosure of space production, based on the study of the institutions in the legal-political experience, initially of the Greek city-states and of Rome, followed by the context of the medieval cities, pointing to the reconfiguration of space with the emergence of the modern state. The thematic analysis prioritizes the content approach with the insertion of central elements present in the theories of Fustel de Coulanges and Pietro Costa, recognized for their contributions in the fields of sociology, history and law. The approach seeks to reconstitute elements of the ancient and medieval city that assume different and complementary dimensions in relation to the modern city, important to rethink the sharing of meanings and forms of ordering of the city in the present time, related to the municipality, legal and political entity. responsible for local self-government. The research is bibliographic, based on the use of the deductive method.
