The methodological procedures adopted an exploratory descriptive approach, analyzing publicly accessible secondary data to characterize aquaculture in the state and reviewing the minutes of CSP/TO meetings held between 2018 and 2022. The study emphasized the favorable hydroclimatic conditions of the state of Tocantins, as well as factors such as input availability and water availability that make it highly conducive to fish farming.
